Did you see the debate in NH last night? If so, were you impressed, or turned off, by any one candidate?

Thanks!

I noticed here in YA most of the folks seem to be focused more on seeing who will get the nomination and finding a candidate who can beat Obama. To me, Paul seemed to have more ideas that didn't pick from a conservative rhetoric and the other candidates were quick to jump on his ideas. But I just don't know if Paul can go mono e mono against someone like Obama.

    Bachmann seemed articulate.

As a republican who voted for Obama, and who is not committed, I probably won't make up my mind until the presidential debates. But I am leaning towards bachmann 1, and paul 2, and maybe gingrich 3 (not sure about him). I would be careful on pawlenty and romney as i just dont think they will be able to affect the independent vote, and the voters the GOP needs to change are gonna look at reocrds and they have bad records. I don't vote for radical rights, and I hate party players who are drones.

There was NO debate . Ron Paul was the only one with a clue . They asked most on the panel a question and then went to Bachmann for " Obama is a one term president " . I guess if you bring the team it is ok to bring a cheerleader ... How about we end your farm subsidy payments Michelle ? Pawlenty looked and sounded foolish . He claims to have a good record and the facts show he just kicked the can down the road and left the state in serious debt . It was jabs at the president minus any substantive debate .. Newt Gingrich was his usual pathetic self . Wants to take back the watered down reforms of the Dodd / Frank bill . Oil company profits continue to hit record profits and none of the financial " gurus " made mention of cutting them or REAL tax reform . I guess the general consensus is the economy would be just fine if we eliminate the EPA and flatten all of West Virginia .. If there were ever a time for a third party candidate ( Ron Paul ) IT IS NOW ...

I was turned off by Romney. He's the Repub equivalent of 0bama. He basically said he would repeal 0bamaCare and replace it with RomneyCare. His idea of a state-centered program is still healthcare being controlled by the feds as it is being mandated by the federal government, kind of like our public school system.

I also didn't enjoy the candidates attacking 0bama in his absence. I say candidates should focus on what they can and will do. Save that stuff for when you win the Repub nomination and can debate 0bama or you appear weak.

I was surprised that I actually liked most of what Gingrich had to say.

I'm a Ron Paul supporter and I was disappointed in his responses, not his message, due to the time constraints given the candidates.

I wish Gary Johnson had participated.

Bachman was impressive.. Ron Paul, not so much.

I just read the other answers and couldn't help but notice that our liberal friends have nothing to say but their usual name calling... "village idiots", "tea party extremists"? Just once I would like to read a liberal answer without resort to Junior High locker room name calling.

Ron Paul was awesome as usual.

Mittens said whatever he had to to look good in front of the cameras however he cannot be trusted. He is just doing this to get support, once he has it he will become Bush 4 (Obama being Bush 3)

Ron Paul was the only one that did not look Presidential and has to drop some of his core beliefs to not come off as a kook even though he is right sometimes.

Herman Cain is not going to win running as Ross Perot.

Nobody else really rose to the top or slid down.

To me, it seemed like Romney pulled way ahead of anyone else... It's amazing that anyone still thinks Ron Paul is presidential. He's the Dr. Doolittle of the bunch. But, as I asked in a recent question, will Americans vote for a Mormon President?

That won't happen until they get off the "Obama's bad" mantra, and start debating EACH OTHER.

Until then, it's just a mob mentality against Obama and you can't win on that until you secure your own party's nomination.
