What do you think of my tattoos?

I got my first tattoo at 17. It's in color and cost me around $50. Took a maximum of 15 minutes to complete. It represents where I'm from (Miami, Florida), I also got it because there something about Flamingos/Palm Trees I just love. It's probably because they both remind me of the beach. . .

My second tattoo (I was 18) was done on my upper back (between my shoulders). It took 2 1/2 hours to complete and cost me $250. I love it. It represents my religion and what I believe in. :D

Of course, I put them in places I could hide them if need be... but I just want to know what you think of them. I like 'em. :D

Additional Questions: Do you have any tattoos?

Would you consider these turn off tattoos?

In my opinion if a tattoo has a lot of meaning to you then it's okay to have and that it's also in a place that's easy to cover up. I don't have any tattoos yet, mostly because I don't have the money to spend, since i'm in school now and because i don't even know what i would get and i would want to make sure that it's something that has a lot of meaning to me personally, the only thing i do know is where i would get it, which would be on my hip, since professionally it can be covered up very easily. overall when it comes to tattoos when it comes to girls, i generally think smaller tattoos look better, but i've seen girls with big tattoos that i think look really cool and then with guys it just depends on the tattoo itself.

The palm tree and flamingo are immaculate and a very nice, clean tattoo. However the one on your back is crooked and overshaded with no greywash or dark/light values to make it shine. Sorry, but I've been tattooing over 40 years and that person would not have repeated that in my shop or any that I've worked in.

the flamingo one is cute. I confess I don't like the back one. It is dark, muddled, and the design is trite and uninspired and I'm not sure what it is supposed to represent about your beliefs. There is a cross in there, but the bible says you can't get tattooed, so I really don't know what it means. Some kinda celtic thing going on in there, along with black crow wings? I don't get it. Sorry.
