I'm biased, but I think that Ben is really the 3rd best QB in the NFL. A lot of people think that he is overrated because he doesn't mean as much to his team as others, which I don't disagree with, but I really don't think that if you were to put a guy like Rodgers or Brees in the pocket that the Steelers would be any better. Simply, I don't think that the Steelers really need a great QB to be a great team.
People are often quick to point out his Super Bowl loss, but they forget that Ben Roethlisberger is one of the best QB's when it comes to 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL and that he has the 9th highest passer rating of all-time despite starting most of his rookie season.

1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Drew Brees
3. Phil Rivers
4. Peyton Manning (age is why he is so low, top two for career among actives)
5. Tom Brady (see Manning explanation, these guys can't be great forever)
6. Ben Roethlisberger, he wins
7. Matt Ryan
8. Michael Vick
9. Josh Freeman (I would like to have this guy on my team more than a few ahead of him)
10. Eli
Close: Schaub (struggled last year otherwise he would be up here, he was WAY more inconsistent than Eli last season), Romo (I'm just not that impressed with him), Flacco ( I really like him just need to see a shade more out of him), Cutler (this is my homer pick, Da Bears). I know Freeman might a little high in your opinion but I would ask you to look at his stats last year and furthermore look at the results of his team, and then look at his supporting cast. This guy is going to be very good it appears.

Favre was once the first-class QB that I ever noticed. That involves Joe Montana, John Elway, Steve Young, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady. People argue approximately this, and for well cause. They are all terrific QB's. Favre simply did matters that different men might on no account do. Beating some way bigger Broncos workforce for the Super Bowl was once potent. He's performed although. Has been performed for approximately 2 years. He's no longer even just about the highest ten. Might be within the backside 10 this yr. Ouch. That's tough to mention.
