- 10 years ago1. Andre Johnson 2. Larry Fitzgerald 3. Calvin Johnson Ultimately there is not much debate as to the top 3. I can't really imagine anyone else rounding out the top three guys other than those listed, there's really not much of an argument that can put anyone else above any of these guys. The next 3 however is an issue of extreme debate as all are of near the same talent, but in such radically different scenarios that it is difficult to determine the order in which they rank. I take a different more analytical perspective in my ranking. 4. Greg Jennings Unlike the next two down on the list Jennings plays in probably the deepest and most talented receiving talent in the league in a system where the quarterback is encouraged to sprend the ball around to many different options even 3rd string tight ends and running backs. McCarthy's way of thinking is that every man on the roster should be very skilled at catching the football. Aaron Rodgers fits into this system well as he likes to be very generous in sharing the football to everyone on his offense. This may result in great offensive play, but also decreases Jenning's numbers to what they very well could be because of a lack of receptions. Jennings had less than 80 receptions this year while White and Wayne had over 110. Despite this huge difference Jennings had only about 100 fewer yards (1265 yards) and had 16.6 yards per receptions second to only deep threat Mike Wallace in the NFL. Jennings produces just as much with less opportunities and is one of the best open field runners in the NFL. That is why I rank him fourth. 5. Roddy White 6. Reggie Wayne Merely rank Reggie Wayne lower because he's getting up there in age, (32). 7. Dwayne Bowe 8. DeSean Jackson 9. Brandon Lloyd (even though it was only one season, gotta respect it) 10. Brandon Marshall (little bit of a down season, but I expect better play next year)
- Anonymous10 years ago1. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans 2. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals 3. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions 4. Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons 5. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts 6. Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers 7. DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles 8. Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers 9. Dwyane Bowe, Kansas City Chiefs 10. Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants I really didn't mean to have the same top 6 as you, however I really think that those are the top 6 WR's in the NFL. For Wallace, I'm biased and I'll be the first to admit that. However, if you look at Wallace's stats, I think many would agree that he is a top 10 WR. Over his two year NFL career he has gotten 2,013 receiving yards, 16 TD's, and has averaged 20.3 yards per reception. Source(s): Steelers fan.
