Is it really that bad?

Is anybody else sick of the negativity portrayed day in day out by the media and government on the news etc? I mean, they run down everybody bar themselves and wonder why people are fed up. I know these are hard times, but I do not believe it is all doom and gloom. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Yeah, I may be naive, but I think there is hope and we need to see more of it not less thanks!

Sorry to burst your bubble but the light at the end of the tunnel is a nuclear blast..

It is worse than they say & you need to believe it and get prepared as best you can.

What strikes me is that the elites - the politicians, the bankers, etc. always seem so bloody happy, no matter what horrible events are being reported in the media. I guess life is always peachy for them.

I'm beginning to think the purpose of the media is not to create an "informed citizenry" but rather twofold:

    1) To depress the hell out of us, in order to keep us down, and

    2) To divide and conquer, by splitting us into "liberals" and "conservatives", and telling us to hate each other and blame each other for all our problems, rather than the elites who control everything and pay themselves billions for the privilege.

Light at the end of the tunnel...i'm afraid not

We have to accept the temporary nature of our own fragile mortality...the universe is gradually slowing down..& will... eventually collapse inwardly into itself...according to the laws of entropy... when all it's thermal and mechanical functions fail, thus rendering all human endeavours ultimately pointless...so no light at the end of the tunnel is the ultimate answer..whoopee!

But in the meantime.....turn that frown :( upside down :)

don't listen to them there are still plenty of good folk in this country look at the amount of money raised around the country for charity etc the media likes to portray negativity it makes good reading. government only runs others down so you don't see how bad they are that goes for opposition to.

Lots of good things happen in the world too. Its just not talked about on the news. Maybe that's indicative of society that we would rather hear bad news then good ?

Take most of it with a large pinch of salt.

Nope. It's ONLY "as bad"- as people make it out to Be... And when People are Unhappy, Cranky, and Uncertain about the Future- that's exactly as "bad", as it Is... ;)
