I do believe mail carriers ought to be paid more than a burger flipper. Lets face it, anyone can work at burger king. Not everyone can be trusted with private and sensitive information that comes in the mail. However, 25 an hour might be too high considering the other lavish benefits and pension they receive.

Because delivering mail is not an easy job. You are legally responsible for every piece of mail you have and are required to work in horrible weather conditions and possible dangerous areas.

I could train a chimp to flip burgers. So yes it is at least 3x harder.

The postal unions. Plus, burger-flippers don't have to buy their own uniforms or work in extreme conditions.

A burger joint doesn't get $5 to $10 billion in annual subsidies from the taxpayer.

Some Mail carriers have to walk their rounds in inclement weather, susceptible to attack by animals. Some Fast Food employees have to prepare and serve customers, some of whom are hostile when the order is wrong, are subjected to violence and demeaned by people like you.

The pay for jobs isn't based on difficulty. If it was, child care employees wouldn't get such low pay. There is a test for postal employees and an FBI background check.
