Alternative to Crown Royal when making Washington Apples?

Crown Royal may be the most overpriced spirit in the world, and that is hard to do in a world with Patron and Grey Goose also competing for that title. And there is absolutely zero reason to use CR in that cocktail where it is really playing second to a sour apple schnapps. I wouldn't even bother with a different Canadian unless it was cheaper than an American blend. There's bunches of them. Try Kessler - "Smooth as silk".

Edit: I wouldn't say "any whiskey", because you'd never use a bourbon or a rye. And yes, the whiskey is playing 2nd to the schnapps, even if it is there to a greater degree, Crown is such a completely bland whiskey, and Apple Pucker is an intensely flavored schnapps. It would be overpowered at 1:10.
