What exactly is Self-analysis..?

Is Self-analysis within itself, a beginning or an ending of ones journey?

Just where is it that one must begin?

Just where exactly will it all end?

Just curious...

It is the art and science of self-examination.

It is a utility to be used at any time along the journey.

One begins it as soon as one discovers the pause of reflection.

It will end where it began and one will finally gasp in comprehension.as one recognizes Self for the first time, but this is only another beginning..

Ahh yes... the self. We reach a point in our journey where we look at the self. This is usually near the beginning but often curiosity pulls us to start elsewhere. Initially though we always think the ego is our self. And the ego loves nothing better than to promote study of the ego. We can get lost in what we see as self-analysis but which is actually ego-analysis. Slowly we learn to see the ego for the lie that it is, and turn our attention to identifying the real Self.

This is the real work. The Self will be there when we have stripped away the ego's lies. How can you forget your Self? As we make room for it, we will learn to remember. When we fully remember, we will be home.

It's sort of like working at being objective about something very subjective...like the self looking at the self without getting involved...sometimes quite a vicious circle, Catch 22, with a few tricks to it, like being ones own therapist. But there are some things one can do perhaps toward this end, like journaling or writing your own story, then reading it later as though you are reading someone elses story. It's not easy, in other words, to look at ones life from a point of view that may be of any help in the end. But like making a decision or choice about something, there are ways to look at things that can be of real use. So, if you want to take a look at youself and make some conclusions about anything, take a look at who is doing the looking and what the aims may be there. There are good reasons people go to a therapist for this instead of just doing Do-It-Yourself analysis. It's not easy to look in the mirror and just see what we cannot see, you know?

It's good to read books and listen to talks and attend lectures though since one can gain lots of insights and see things from other points of view.

So, it's neither a beginning or ending to ones journey to take a look at oneself...and a whole life story can be rewritten from the future all over again anyway, and not always in a good way. When someone does something really bad or stupid then their story ends up being the story of somebody who did this really stupid thing. Who you are changes over time, yes? This is why they don't put up statues of people until some years after their death usually...it's not really certain who they are, or were, until looking back from the future.

So..."who are you?"...is not necessarily written in stone for you to just look at or observe really.

So, maybe just actively know you are creating or generating the real living you as you go.

    or something like that.

Good luck and keep having fun.

You need ‘analysis’ to transform a derangement into an arrangement. Obviously the context here is one’s own memory and psyche.

The psyche may be seen as the personal information pyramid-turned-knowledge pyramid that needs to be resurrected from time to time after internal shifting or external addition. Personal reason/ logic is the chief instrument that constructs and reconstructs the pyramid of personal knowledge. Self-analysis refers to health and amelioration of personal reason/ logic. Higher reason/ logic could accommodate larger amount of information-turned-knowledge into a greater pyramidal psyche. Knowledge is reason-knitted information cluster.

In the face of continual influx of information, the organization of memorable information will face instability or even imminent collapse - unless existing personal reason/ logic is attended to and mended. Checking out the health of personal reason/ logic between memorable information in the memory cluster is ‘self-analysis’.

So self-analysis is a recurring process and doesn’t really have a beginning or an end. However if you look at a quantum of analysis, relative intellectual instability in the form of anxiety may be deemed to be its beginning when relative intellectual stability in the form of satisfaction would be its end. During this interval, personal reason/ logic takes a quantum jump, however small the quantum may be.

First, locate the filthy slate in question! This is a priority!

    Acquire an excellent eraser.

Prepare yourself for a lot of elbow grease!

Some slates have many compounds embedded within them and may have the need of a cleaning solvent!

If the cleaning solvent doesn't do the job, a person may need to find one that is an "Adept" at doing the deep cleaning that is necessary.

We must remember that every slate is indeed cleanable, but may require special attention.

"A clean slate is one that we can all appreciate."

    * (If you know what I mean.)

*footnote - for those that are not aware of it there are two (2) forms of karma (Inherited and Acquired) both forms must be dealt with! Have a "Happy New Years"!

May we keep the "Kyoto Protocol" within our hearts.

    Peace be always with you,

That is just as good a place as any to start. Starting sort of reminds me of the old the old question the bushman had when he took down an elephant to feed his people. His tribe couldn't figure out where to start. The solution was simple. Start anywhere. And in what you are interested in starting anywhere is better than not starting at all. Self reflection is perfect. Remember that the mental activity is reflective activity and sometimes it can be self reflective or self conscious of what it is doing. So as you reflect reality you can also be determining what your place in reality is. Bon Voyage.

self analysis is the vortex cotinuem of over analylizing ones self to be brainwashed into thinking what one is or isant - however with other human reaction can come to the conclusion of being over conclusive and or covinced that there is more to convince or to convince ones self that there is nothing to convince since nothing makes since anyway - ha - did i get that right or do i need to self analysis some more ? and come to the furious conclusion that i am wasting my own time on myself or someone elses

Ultimately it is a journey of self discovery.

It begins where you are & I'm am uncertain where it will ultimately end.

Perhaps that is why faith is required.

    Many Blessings!

    Edit:

One small addition if I may:

Ultimately I think it ends in that total surrender that has many names.

Perhaps it begins with faith & willingness & ends in that ultimate surrender.

Many would disagree, but I still find this to be true.

    Many Blessings!

As far as this one can see right now:

It is owning my “mistakes/misunderstandings” and disowning my “accomplishments” until there is nothing left.

But this one may be wrong.
