Do you like any of my tattoo ideas?

Hey y'all,

So I've decided to get a tattoo, and yes, my mother is on board, as long as I can cover it up decently it's cool, please don't preach about it hindering my work opportunities etc, please don't get me started.

ANYWAYS, here are some ideas, I am pretty set on getting it on my right rib area, and depending on which it is, font and font size will differ.

‘As artists, we are eternally heartbroken’ - Lady Gaga (cursive)

Or

‘Born This Way’ (the font on the record)

Or

‘Fearless’ (larger because it's a singe word, cursive)

Or

“Trust your heart if the seas catch fire, live by love though the stars walk backwards.” ~E.E. Cummings (small, small font, printed so it's readable)

Some explanation, I'm a musician and will always be, and music is dear to my heart, just like the first quote. Second, Lady Gaga has almost literally saved my life, her lyrics spoke to me about accepting myself and I can't thank her enough for that. Next, fearless is a contender, not because I'm some arrogant weirdo, but it's really something that I know I strive to be everyday, you know, I can't let myself be held back out of fear of what could happen. And lastly, E.E. Cummings is my cup of tea, and that last quote just gives me butterflies.

Which do you think would be best? Which do you think I'll "regret" the least? Which do you hate? Any non-in-my-face-hater thoughts are welcome!

Thank you

P.S. This isn't some spur of the moment decision, and I'm not choosing based solely on whatever the 'best answer' is, I just want to know what you guys think.

Personally, i would get "Fearless" just because 1) it's big, easy to read, and won't become illegible over time and 2) i think you would regret it the least. Idk, that's just my opinion...

It shouldn't matter what other people think about it..if it is going on your body and it means something to you and that you are sure you won't regret getting your tattoo then you shouldn't care what everyone thinks about your tattoo ideas. Are you sure you will like Lady Gaga for the rest of your life? because later on in life your music tastes can change. I used to listen to nothing but Pop, Rap, R&B, and country and by the time I turned 17 my music tastes changed and I'm into nothing but metal and country now. My opinion is, if you don't have a reason to be getting something tattooed on your skin, you shouldn't get a tattoo because most people that do that regret it somewhere down the road and lazer tattoo removal is much more painful than actually going to get the tattoo and costs a lot more. Just do whatever YOU think is right and good luck! :)

Since you mentioned your mom is on board, I am going to assume you are under 18. No reputable tattoo places will give you a tattoo, even with parental consent, until you are 18. If you find a place that will, they are going to have sub-standard artists, not be clean, etc. Because if they skirt the age rule, who knows what else they aren't paying attention to that they should. No matter what, wait until you are 18-if you really want the tattoo, you will still want it when you're of age to get it.

That being said, I think the e.e. Cummings quote is not a good idea if you want it small, because over time the small letters will get less and less legible. Same goes for the 1st quote by Lady Gaga if you're planning on getting it very small as well.

Just choose whatever has the most meaning for you. It doesn't matter if other people like it or not, because you're getting it for you and not for them.

Personally I like the last one the best but I'm not a lady gaga fan :)

really though I would just think about it and get whatever one you feel suits you best. I have yet to get any quote tattoos because I can't decide on words I want on me forever.

Also almost any reputable shop will tattoo you with parental consent. It's not skirting the age rule as long as you are the age of consent and you have a parent there to say it's okay.

I like the last one, as long as your not going to regret it later and it won't be a complication with work I say go for it! I just got snake bites but I know in the future I am going to have some problems finding a job, I will probably let them close up by then though. My friend just got 'I'd trade all my tomorrow's for one single yesterday." On her back, its purple and blue and so pretty!
