What are some fun crafts to do with a baby?
I'm looking to redo the walls of my 8 month olds nursery. I'm painting it a different color and removing some of the pictures I had hanging in there. I thought it'd be cute to put some home made things up on the wall that we did with him- you know like his hand prints done in paint or something along those lines. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm not the most creative person in the world so I'm having trouble coming up with ideas... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
These are some great ideas! Thanks guys. As for Ava brown or whatever your name is... the point of it isn't for the crafts to be amazing and beautiful, the point was to have something original and something he could hold on to for years. Obviously I'm not going to give him a paint brush and expect an actual picture... I love when parents take those finger painted pictures that are just crazy smears and frame them and hang them on their walls. I think it's adorable... sorry. Although, if you didn't think it was a good idea, that's your opinion but you really didn't need to comment- especially with an ignorant comment such as that! :)

Try putting different colour finger paints on their fingers. Then run their finger across the paper to make a colorful pattern. Also with a fairly large piece of paper, glue the whole sheet. Then get some glitter or pasta shapes and get them to mush it around with their hands. Hope this helps. By the way, I know it seems a very messy activity, but babies are. You can't exactly get any clean creative activities for babies.

Clay finger and foot prints. You can even find an online recipe to make your own clay from home.
Have someone draw a characture of your baby.
As far as the painting pick two colors and have one wall in one color and the others walls in the second color.

That sounds cute. I did something similar where we took washable paint and used it on her hands and feet. Really, there isn't a whole lot more you can do until they get a little older.

Make a paper-mache mold around your baby's leg or arm to make a unique mobile! It sounds weird, but he will appreciate it later :)
