Yes They are very humble and approachable. Language could be a barrier at times but they are open to overland people.

Yes, they are. And you are kon thai chai mai krup. They are especially friendly in the countryside or smaller towns, but even in Bangkok they are friendlier than most places I have been around the world. Every time I have asked for help, a Thai person has always been willing to help me, without wanting anything in return, and almost always with a smile. The only unfriendly Thais I've met are the ones that work in areas that have many foreigners. Perhaps the relative rudeness and aggressiveness of foreigners negatively affects these particular Thais. I worked in Thailand for a wildlife conservation organization in 2004 in Chanthaburi. The people in my community were the nicest, friendliest, and just the best people I've ever met. They are the reason why I decided to come back here to live and teach English. And it's not because of the girls, as many people falsely assume. Of course some guys do come here for that reason. I've been in Thailand for two months now already and I have never been conned, tricked, or taken advantage of. One exception is the sometimes inflated prices for foreigners. It's actually policy in some places, like zoos and museums and ****. But they don't take advantage of my foreignness, and I don't take advantage of their kindness and hospitality. It works out. Thais are wonderful people.

Some are nice, some are not, some are treacherous and will slice your throat to steal a few thousand baht from your wallet. They all smile so keep in mind that the Thai smile means nothing.

Yes, on the whole you could describe Thais as nice friendly people, helpful and always quick to smile.

99% of those Thai women who can speak English want to marry a 'farang' .

They only give respect to farang and look down upon other asian men.

They smile easily and that is nice - just don't read too much into it but it does give an air of pleasant environment - yes, I think they are mostly nice.
