Have you named any inanimate objects?
I've heard of people naming inanimate objects, so I'm curious as to how many of you guys have. Examples could include computers/laptops, cars, cell phones, etc. Personally, I've only named one thing: my car. His name is Rosemundo (roh-zeh-MOON-doh)! :)
EDIT: And if so, what are their names.
@ღMomma2ღAdaCharlotteღ -- By "inanimate" I just meant things that are neither human nor animal, not that they're not important. :)

Of course! My iPod and my laptop both have names. My iPod is named Annabel Eloise Apple, but I typically only call her Annie. I just got my new laptop. Her name is Helena Poppy, but I call her Nellie or Nell. I'm not sure if she really has a last name (Annie's last name is Apple though). My laptop is an HP, so I thought I definitely had to give her those initials. I just thought Annie Apple sounded cute, so I had to find a full name to match the nickname.
All of the baby dolls and many of the stuffed animals I have ever had have names as well, but I suppose they are not exactly in this category because I believe most people give them names.
I almost forgot that all of our African violets have names. My sister and I named them together. Aurora, the oldest, has purple and white flowers. Alice is only purple. Astrid, who is no longer alive :(, was the youngest and just had white flowers.
I also forgot to say that my family's GPS is named Gemma. She has an Australian accent, not that Gemma is necessarily an Australian name though. Gemma is for the G in GPS, but I don't think we ever figured out names for the rest of her initials.
Oh, Rosemundo is really cute for a car!

I shamelessly name a lot of inanimate objects, as does my sister :) Apart from the usual stuffed animals and dolls I've had over the years, I've named my car Zillah, my phone's name is Dot, I call my laptop Minka, and my exercise ball & mat are {Juno + Araminta aka Mini}. My sister and I also call our piano Lucasta, and the grandfather clock in our hallway is Quincy. We've also taken to naming our baby brother's toys names like Asa and Peregrine and Henrietta, so they don't all end up named Max and Dad :)

Yeppers! I name my vehicles, and my stereos.
Car #1: Enzo
Car #2: Gabriel
Stereo #1: Madame Cleo
Stereo #2: Tyrese
:)
Madame Cleo got her name because she always seemed to play music that eerily enough related to whatever was happening at that second. Like I woke up one day, and the song was crooning "Waking up in the morning...", another time I was putting my swimsuit on, and it say "under the sea", etc.
Enzo is a name I like, but the only Enzo I personally knew was a kind of a bum, and that car always used to break down... thus the name... ;)
Gabriel was my sleek, suave car, and I thought the name suited the feel b/c I thought of the model Halle Berry dated when I thought of sleek/suave people
Tyrese was my ghetto stereo that never worked. No offense to anyone...

think you off on a tangent here, friend. We give things feminine names, since the comfort factor for all humans is the "mother figure" even boats and cars are generally called 'she' even though they are then named "killer" or '"macho man" or something equally senseless In Australia we have an expression when things are going well or look nice , we say "She's lookin' real beaut, mate ..." I don't believe my 'broomstick warrior' would consider it sexist

I named my old car Violet, because it was purple, and that quickly became Ollie, which is less obvious! I haven't named my new car though; I guess I'm not as attached to it, as it was my old car that I first learned to drive in.
I haven't officially named my laptop, though in the house it's often referred to as "Baby" (as in, it's like my baby), due to the amount of time I spend with it!
Also, when I was younger I remember naming my new hat Tammy, because it was from Tammy ;)

My first car that I got when I was 17. It was a big, blue Plymouth Acclaim. Her name was "Bertha."
We named our GPS "Eleanor."
I named my husband's phone "Veronica" because he's always on it playing games, looking up stuff or trying new apps.
We named this little doll our daughter has "Alice," but most of her other toys/stuffed animals are actual animals so we just refer to them as whatever animal they are to help her learn.

I named my phone. I forgot her name though...so I guess I'll have to come up with a new name. but my phone before her was Sindy and my phone before her was Shelly. (: Oh, and I got stiches once and I named them Patty, Ronda, Phil, Mickey, Minnie, George, Fuzzy, Maria, Thomas, Woo, and Hoo. (: and of course I've named my stuffed animals. haha(: I'll probably name my t.v., laptop, iPod, and anything else I can find after I'm done writing this (:

Well I don't really consider a car to be inanimate it's actually rather legit and important in my opinion.
Besides my car(Hilbert) I haven't named any of my objects.
Sincerely Sam

I named my cars, but due to frustration, the names are not appropriate to post on here, LOL
For instance, one is the PMSing b!@#%, and that is the least offensive one.
I also named my GPS. It has a female voice so I named her Lois (after Lois Lane).
