Any AR-15 Experts out there?
I am debating whether to buy a Colt SP6920 rather than searching and for an LE6920. The SP price is right at 1,049.99$, the LE is back-ordered (currently unavailable) at the same price. I have heard that there is not much of a difference between the two besides the printing on the rifle (but I have read that the LE does retain a higher re-sale value) -- What do you think ?
Thanks

Pretty much the same gun. Colt Defense makes the LE; and Colt Manufacturing makes the SP. I've heard rumors that these carbines actually come off the same production line. Only the logo and signatures change. Considering what I paid for my own LE6920, (Which I bought during the Clinton era.) I'm not crazy about the SP's new much lower prices.
Will an LE model retain a higher resale price? Maybe. Maybe not. (Especially if they're both coming out of the same frigg 'in building!)

I have been shooting M4's since 2004, and I currently have a Colt, issued. It is a great weapon, and I have not had any malfunctions with the weapon. I am sure that the LE will retain a higher resale value as well, as I notice that at firearms stores.
I recently purchased an AR-15 at a gun show, and put it together myself. I purchased the lower, lower parts kit, and upper with bolt for a great price of under $700. All this in California too! lol. Iron sights can be purchased fairly cheap for some good flip up sights too. My recommendation is find a gun show if money is an issue. You can Google putting together an AR-15 with the lower parts kit, and it makes it fairly easy to do.
Best of luck to ya!
