What is the new name of the former Immigration and Naturalization Department?

INS was an agency standing alone. Baby bush put it under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), so that's the mother.

    DHS has 3 children:

    - the United States Citizen and Immigration Service (USCIS), which basically replaced the INS,

    - the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), basically the immigration cops, and

    - the Custom and Border Protection (CBP), the border guys who ask for your passport.
