Teenage Boys and Condoms?

Ok, so yes i had sex.Yes we used a condom, and i got my period a week later so im not trying to scare anyone. But at first i was scared becasue i wasn't sure if he knew how to put on on. I mean i know how. but i couldn't see very well, and he wouldknow himself better so i had him do it. So my quiestion is, do teenage boys look that kind of thing up? normaly? and would they if they figured they were gonna get lucky. we were both virgins so its not like we had experience. I know how because i came across it in an old cosmo mag. but do boys look that up? he didn;t say he didnt, just out it on, but...i mean u gotta leave room on the end and i was wonderin if boys just assume that they jus roll it on and go.
