Which processor is faster / powerful?
I'm thinking about upgrading the processor for my computer. Should I get a 2.16 ghz dual-core or a 2.3 ghz single-core? Which one is faster, powerful, and able to do tasks smoothly?

The 2.16 Ghz Dual Core will run laps around the 2.3Ghz single core. Most applications today understand how to use more than one core, so it will be much more efficient when working.

Definitely go for the dual core. If you are replacing a single core, be sure the motherboard can accept it. Older motherboards were not designed to use multi-core processors. Another snag: even if the board can accept dual cores, it may not recognize it without a BIOS update.
