After the re-installation, all old files are moved to windows.old so you can re-locate the files back to where they should be - in their folders.

Except for software/programs, you'll have to re-install them all over again.

Restoring it's going to no longer delete home windows 7, however handiest delete all the documents off of it, making it find it irresistible whilst you first purchased it. But if it is a virus, most likely the documents you've gotten transferred could be inflamed, infecting the opposite pc. But might be no longer, no longer all viruses do. Most computer systems are specific while restoring a pc, take a look at watching within the guide, or in case you fairly are not able to discover some way take a look at ringing tech help. Hope this is helping -Jack

which mode ( new install or recovery ) do you use when re-installing?

if you re-installed Win 7 as totally new,

then the new installation had already reformated and wiped out the Windows old

    ,

if you just re-installed win 7 under recovery mode, then the Windows old files must still be there somewhere.

you cant "restore" your old windows. but you can move all your old files from your windows.old into your new windows.
