NYU is one of the top film schools in the country.
I don't know about the other schools. I almost went to film school and can tell you that these are the top film schools in the country:
USC- No.1 in the country.
UCLA- TOP 3
NYU- Top 3
Columbia University- No.4
Ohio University- Top 10, I once read that their equipment may be a little old.
I forget the others.

I have several friends studying at NYU and would definitely say that NYU is tops for film students.
I know that BU and VCU also have highly respected programs in the arts.
I've heard of DePaul, but don't know enough about it to help with that one. Never heard of La Salle.
So, I'd say NYU>BU=VCU>DePaul>LaSalle.

ALL, repeat ALL school of film/cinematography lead to chronic unemployment. Few graduates ever make a significant career in the film industry.
It is a major blunder to attend Film School. Do not waste your time and your parents' money.

Here is a ranking system that I agree with. Also read the whole page, there are two schools that are not in the numbered section to do the fact that they have relatively new film programs.
