I added new batteries to my minolta xg9 and it snapped once and was working fine. I advanced the film and it worked once and then everything stopped working. I have tried reloading film and now I neither the shutter nor the film advance work. What should I do?

They sent me a free application and I was think of applying. However, I heard some mix reviews and was wondering if it was a good school? I know its not the most renowned but is it worth attending? I'm thinking of majoring in film or photography.

First, I was wondering what is crosses the line as far as digital art and actual photography. Should I even bother entering photos that have been changed by a photographic editing program?

Also, what size prints should I use so that I sumbit a physical portfolio? Are 4x6 prints too small?

So I'm working on resizing images to enter them in a contest. When I look at them through my computer's standard photo viewer I notice that it is shrun to "best fit" but when I increase it to its actual size it comes out extremely blury. However, I am using a 14.1 mega pixel camera and when I print these images that do not turn out blury at all. I was wondering if the reason my images are comming out blury on the computer and not on paper was because the computer itself lacks the ability to show the detail on large images or if my picture "actually" look like this.

Are their opportunites to work in the peacecorps to work as a filmaker, say documentary film or photographer, say photojournalism?

So I am a going to be starting my last year of high school in a couple of months which means that I will be applying to colleges. Up until now I have had my heart set on being a film major but now I think I should switch to photography. Photography is like second nature for me; I have won awards and I have enough photographs to make a decent portfolio. I have only made one film so far but I have won an award for it and I was planning on making more in the summer. It would be easier and in the long run more profitable for me to do photography, but I feel that film is my "destiny" and I still have that life-fable that I will be a famous director or whatever and I am hestitant to completely give that up. Which should I choose? Also it would probably be easier for me to get teacher reccomendations in photography.

Where are some good colleges, art schools, etc, to study graphic design?

When getting a job as a graphic designer is the main focus on education and school or portfolio?

I heard that FIT had a really good graphic design program. Should I go there even though Im not studying anything fashion related?

So I was looking at the info. for this school and it said it has a 100% acceptance rating. Is that true? Is that a good thing? Does it make the school good or bad?

I want to go to an out of state school and I was wondering if I should move there, go to a local community college and set up residency then transfer?

Is academy of art university a chain of schools or are there just two? Is this a credible and respected school? Is if you major in lets say graphic design or web design, is it possible to get a job afterwords?
