Do you ever try to guess someone's Rising Sign?

Ok, so, Sun sign is pretty easy to know, if you know someone's birthday, someone like a relative, a cousin or a friend. But have you tried to guess their Rising Sign based on their personality traits? I guess you can ask them what time they were born but that would be weird, especially if they don't believe in astrology, they might think you are plotting something behind their back. LOL.

If you know someone well, it's pretty easy to guess Rising Sign. Although, it can be tricky if the Moon has a strong affect.

Update:

@Jessica. I actually think Rising Sign is the easiest to guess because it's how the person appears on the outside. Moon is probably the hardest to guess. It takes some good skills.

When I first began to get a small grasp on astrology many years ago. I did so enjoy trying to guess someone's sun sign. But as I gained more knowledge I discovered two things. That I often chose the rising sign when guessing the sun sign, and I often guessed the progressed sun instead of the natal sun. I had an ancient computer back then temporarily and an astrology software that could compute ones natal chart without all of the formulas and tables and what a mess it is to do a natal chart by hand. That is when I realized that I was "guessing" the rising sign for the sun sign.

And the second thing that I discovered was that often I "guessed" the progressed sun instead of the natal sun. The ones that surprised me the most were the Cancers. I would use my Intuition and also my observation and when I said "Leo" they would loudly replay, "No I'm a Cancer!" I thought all my studying was getting me nowhere until I learned how the sun progresses into the next sign in the first 30 years of life. Those Cancers had put some Leo characteristics into their ordinarily introverted shy beings and out popped a Leo that was happy, outgoing and unusually loud (especially for a Cancer!)

So when guessing, which I don't do often anymore, remember that you might "tune in" to the rising sign or the progressed sign or Voila! Sometimes you get it right the first time. You will often notice that you are better at guessing one sign or another. I generally would try to get a feel for the element, fire earth air water and then decide from there. One day I was getting ready to check out at the grocery store and there were two ladies with about the same amount of groceries at each counter, but when I saw how orderly one lady's groceries were laid upon the line, I decided to get behind her. I jokingly said, "You must be a Capricorn." She looked at me astonished! "How did you know that," she replied. I said, "Well, your groceries were all stacked neatly and orderly and you already had your checkbook ready and I just felt that you were a Capricorn." She was astonished is the only word I can think of to describe it. As an Aquarius, my groceries never look like that. For a fact. She left the store muttering to herself, "I just can't believe that!"

So the more one studies, the better one will get. That is true about anything. That which you work the hardest for usually brings the most rewards. And I have worked hard, especially when the deck seems stacked against you, with all of the contradictory definitions in astrology books. So happy "guessing" and never give up studying astrology as the rewards are awesome. Good luck and bless you.

Not just by looking but to be more sure if you've made the right guess is by talking to that person, knowing them and observing the way that person act. Also look at their face features. It's easy to guess some people rising sign while some might just complicate your mind a bit because you feel like that person could possibly have two signs trait. It could be that they have another planet in their 1st house. Yup. I've done it a number of times. Most of the time I got it right. It was quite hard at first but if you keep practicing it, it gets easier. :)

I think Rising signs, and Moon signs are hard to guess. I always can pretty much tell when someone is an earth sign or air sign, but water signs and fire signs are so hard to guess for me.

I find rising to be easy because it's what other people see when they meet you. Scorpio risings are sort of easy because they're intense and serious. With moon signs you should probably pay more attention to their emotional reactions.

Just for yeah I do lol. I'll be walking through Walmart and me and my sister point out random people and are like "Oh they are a total Aries Rising" or something dumb like that.

Guess my Rising and YES my moon has a strong effect on my appearance apparently??? lmfao xD

And I will warn you, I look half retarded in some pics because I had to do my hair and makeup in certain ways for choir concerts [glittery makeup and curled hair] which made me look young like I was 15 or something.

Not really. I try to get to know them first before I even think about all that stuff, otherwise I over analyse everything instead of just trying to feel my way. I'm very analytical, so it's hard for me, but I try.
