Can I collect unemployment?
3 weeks ago, I was told my last day of work would be July 29th, for having poor job performance, but they were really nice about it and encourage me to take long lunches and ask for interview tips and resume reviews if necessary. It doesn't look like I will have a job by the end of this month. Do you think I will be able to collect unemployment? They sd. I was being "terminated".
I live in MN by the way.

Yes you would still qualify for unemployment compensation, as long as you wait until they tell you your fired. That is if they don't tell you July 29th and you stop going to work, then you would have quit July 29th
