Would you sign a petition to make marijuana legal in all 50 states in the USA?

Here's a complete list for this question:

1. Would you start a petition in your home state to pass a bill, making marijuana legal to anyone over the age of 18?

2.This question is not a debate about marijuana.

3.Do you have any idea's on how YOU would get a bill passed in all 50 states?

I welcome all positive words related to these questions.

(have fun).

All 50 States are not needed, just 30 are, or less.

I think it is already Decriminalized in 4, that is a start.

I would not sign anything in The United States anymore. I will not until that silly Patriot Act is repealed and abolished.

So I would not, could not, sign any petition addressed to The Federal Government U.S..

If I were to pursue such an idea, I would act or enact decriminalization in my state. We could get rid of that silly lottery that was supposed to pay for Education and now only pays the higher salaries that the Government have allowed or permitted themselves to take from the Citizens.

Do the pot like tobacco, private farmers grow and market it, in the state where it is legal, that is the catch 22 that upsets the wagon. If of is legal in California and not legal in Arizona then the person that is 2' from the border could sell or deliver the stuff to the other side. Will not work, it could, and by the Constitution as originally written and interpreted it can.

Would be a heck of a tax cash crop. Then the farmers could hire PACs to lobby U.S. Congress for the entitlements and other shenanigans that almost every farmer gets now not to grow crops.

    So,

    1. No I would not.

    2. uhm, ok.

    3. No I do not, that is not the way our Democratic Republic is set up.

Change 1 to would you start a grass roots campaign in your Town, City, etc.etc.

I had to use the grass roots in that one...

    2, erm, uhm, ok

    3. Yes I do, everyone that does smoke pot, go out and light up a dooby at the police station, get arrested, go to court, get out, repeat.

The State will eventually weigh the costs and wasted monies for a non-offensive action and capitulate.

    done.

    1. Start one? Probably not. I don't feel that strongly about it. I might sign one though.

    2. This is not a question.

    3. Hmmm.. problem. You would not need one voter initiative, you would need 50 -- one for each state. Also, you can only sign an initiative/petition in the state in which you live. Therefore, you'd be restricted to a single state.

There's also the federal issue. Even if every state legalized it, the federal government still declares it illegal and no petition will change that. It will take a congresscritter to propose a bill, get it passed in both houses, and get the President to sign it. Good luck with that.

I dont like marijuana but the fact that it is illegal and alcohol isn't is ridiculous. If they legalize it they can tax it and collect revenue off it. Cigarettes are legal, alcohol is legal, it is pretty ridiculous to waste taxpayers money to arrest someone smoking a bowl. I probably would not start a petition however because there is such a stigma about marijuana, people who think it is dangerous would probably get upset. To get it passed in all 50 states, I think it needs to go before the supreme court and in that case I would just focus on how much revenue it could bring to the US by legalizing it. That is all those politicians care about anyway. Not to mention the fact that I keep hearing that kids keep buying some weird synthetic incense crap from the store that is making them lose their minds. They are probably buying that crap because it is legal and marijuana isnt.
