I think you're right. I'm not Christian myself so I don't claim to have the right to tell Christians what they ought to believe. But I think it's most reasonable to believe that Jesus' capture and execution came as a rude shock to his followers, so they came up with a story about how it was part of the plan all along.

Jesus often refers to the Son of Man. I often ask Christians explain what he meant by that term, and not many are able to. Sometimes he seems to be referring to himself (which seems strange, since he is not the son of -a- man!) and other times he seems to mean it in the 3rd person. The only other place the phrase is found is in Daniel, in a prophesy that seems clearly apocalyptic, and seems to have nothing to do with the actual son of an actual man.

Most of Jesus' teaching was in small towns and villages. He'd perform miracles, heal the sick, and teach. He never mentions in these lessons that he's gong to die for our sins. His lessons are all moral and practical--this is what you should do, this is how you should treat one another, etc. What with the state of newsmedia in those days, I doubt most of the people who saw or heard him on those tours even knew he'd been executed!

Grace certainly. the very certainty that we undergo in ideas what we did and yet comprehend that he does not save an account of those wrongs proves to us repeatedly that he's done or grace and mercy. i think of we undergo in ideas our sins first because of the fact it somewhat is how the organic ideas works.. the way God meant. there is not any "eraser" button to push while forgiveness is asked for. the clarification there is not any longer is like countless people already suggested. . . we study from our errors. we can look lower back and as an affidavit to others proportion how Christ stored us from our sins. If we forgot what we did... there might could be a consistent re-discovering of why Christ died for us. And it would take place lower back and lower back every time we sinned.

Jesus came as the Lamb of God... the perfect sacrifice.

way back in Genesis 3 and tru old testament.. prophesy foretold coming of the messiah.

Isaiah and psalms clearly points to Jesus death as the Lamb.

Jesus clearly states he came to do the will of his Father.

Destroys this temple and I will raise it up again in three days.

Mar 9:12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

Luk 9:22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Luk 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

That's still a no. Honestly its nothing more than a book of exaggerations and contradictions one day people will look back, just as we look back now, and say "Christianity? What an absurd religion how can anyone believe these lies?"
