Y!A makes me afraid to be a parent!!!?
Ok are the kids on here just absolutely horrible or are all children like this these days? "I'm 12 and want to lose my virginity!" "I'm 13 and I think I'm pregnant!" "I think my 24 year old boyfriend got me pregnant! I'm 15!". These things scare me! I'm going to try my hardest to not make my baby turn into one of these children, but is it inevitable? Please ease my mind :(
I'm gonna be a mommy in about 4 months, so I'm freaking out about alot of things. lol
Mom2Max - I'm a troll? What? I've had an account on here for like 3 years... I'm a troll because I'm worried about my future child being corrupted by horrible influences? I don't think you know what a troll is.
Oh I'm sorry Mom2Max I was confused! I thought you were saying "like you" as in I'm a troll. I get what you mean, I'm sorry! lol

Well, congrats and take a deep breath through those hormones. :) Most young folks are not like that. There are a few of course. But you raise your kids with some education and some sense, and you have high expectations, and you eat dinner with them and actually talk, get them involved in a few activities or sports (but not too many), and you keep the computer where you can see it, and chances are they will be fine.

No it isn't inevitable. You should meet mine, three teenage girls, eldest 17 currently doing A levels and looking at Uni's she's a straight A grade student who also coached orienteering, is the youth rep on the orienteering committee, she's a young leader in guides association and currently doing both her Queen's Guide award and Duke of Edinburgh Award. She wants to do engineering at University and yes with all of that she's too busy to bother about boys. The next is 15, school prefect straight A's again and will follow with Uni but she wants to be an architect, just won the school award for Wood work, current youngest is 14, very driven and wants to go into catering, she really is good. I've had no problems with any of them so no it isn't inevitable. What makes it even more surprising is that I've brought these girls up most of the time on my own, I hope I'm as lucky with number 4 who I'm currently 6 months pregnant with.
Congratulations and you will be a good mum because you care.

First off, congrats =)
Secondly, I think that if you take a step back from what the media is showing [Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant, etc] and look at the numbers, most teens aren't like that. I'm pretty sure that most of the 12 and 13 year old baby-mama-wannabes are just trolling.
If you are honest to your kids about what you expect and what is out there, you'll find that they will make the right choices.

don't stress too much right now. i have two young kids. my oldest is 2. and she already has an attitude. ha ha. i do worry about when she's older, a teenager. but all i can do is just try my best to raise her right, instill good morals in her. that's all you can really do. it doesn't help to over worry about the future. just take every thing one day at a time. baby has many years before you even need to worry about that kind of stuff. just raise them well. and beyond that, is out of your hands. i know it sucks. i worry too. but there comes a point where children have to start making their own decisions. and also, not all kids turn out or act like that.

i know how you feel becouse i have a little girl and i think about that alot. i can also tell you that i had my frist at 17 and now looking back i didnt have anyone to talk to me about sex and what came with it and that things happen and that you can still have a baby on the pill. So i am going to try and just talk to my kids about the things i did and how wrong it was and how hard it was to have a baby at that age.
Source(s): talk with your kids all the time about anything and everything its what they need. good luck i wish you the best! - Anonymous10 years ago
First of all, the majority or probably even all of those questions you're worried about, were posted by trolls. They don't actually mean it. The way your child turns out depends solely on how you raise them.

If all the other kids made questions about how they're not pregnant, it would get so clogged up that you wouldn't see the bad ones.
Source(s): Teenager, and not pregnant. I also hope you realize that people who grew up during the 50's 60s and 70s run the world today (and those were the most dangerous times the world has ever experienced). - Anonymous10 years ago
You don't want your child becoming a silly troll posting fake questions to rile up unsuspecting people (like you)?
Simple - don't let them get on the computer unsupervised.
LOL. No, you aren't a troll. THEY are!!!

gosh, i thought it was the parents on here you were worried you'd start acting like. that's a legitimate worry.
the kids will be all right. put on your own oxygen mask, though.
