Neither party has ever cut spending. You should be asking why this is so and why we have allowed both parties to spend more than is allowed by the Constitution and more than is brought in. Sometime deficit spending is necessary, but we have made a habit of it.

Don't make this a partisan issue. Make it an American issue. There was a time when the Republicans were the party of fiscal responsibility. No more!

I don't think you understand. Obama has increased the national debt by 40% since he took office. US debt is being downgraded because of all the heavy spending that Obama has done. It has nothing to do with the Republicans.
