What do dogs call each other?

Dogs respond so readily to the name their owner gives them, but they don't "talk" to each other like that. So what do they call each other, when looking for a fellow dog or a particular friend?

Human vocal chords equal dogs noses. Smells are there words. When looking for a friend, they might leave a friendly scent or smell each other or even bark to greet them. I don't think any human really knows. A dogs name in dog language is more like "pay attention to me, i'm talking to you!"

The smell, sound and sight of the dog. A dog will get used to all of that on another dog, and they can tell if it is him or her. It is also the senses that help the dog.

Like the licks to the center of a tootsie pop, the world may never know

They don't call each other something as humans do they will recognize a scent, not a specific name
