Below 3000 RPM, the LT1 will drill the LS1. But in all honesty, I would not even bother with any of it. You have nothing to prove. Unless the guy makes running him WAY too good to pass up because he's put a bunch of money on the line, I'd not even waste any words about it, let alone any time or mental energy. 99% of the guys who run their mouth have something to prove because they lack confidence, etc.

You can't "bore out" a LS1 to a 400. So either A) He's full of it or B) You don't really know what you're talking about.

Also, if someone is going to increase the cubes on a LS1(and not to a 400) you mean they didn't do ANY other mods like heads, cam, headers, exhaust?

I'm under the total impression that this kid is full of S***, You cannot bore out an LS1 to a 400. Kids spout off crap all the time that they know nothing about.

100% agree with Tony. You can't bore the LS1 out to 400 cid. In fact I don't think theres any small block chevy under 400 cid that you can "bore" out to 400 cid.

Heck just to get 383 cid out of a 350 you have to bore it out .030" over and stroke it by .27" (install new crank with longer stroke)

No one with a half of brain is gonna rebuild engine, machine parts, bore and stroke it and leave stock cam, heads, exhaust, intake, throttle body, etc etc.

I know nothing about cars, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. At the end of the day, having a faster car doesn't mean much.

just tell him its his moms car, come talk when he has his own. if its not his, then it means nothing.
