does anybody take the ontological argument seriously?

Just wondering. And if you do, how do you handle this proof?

1) Cookies are the tastiest possible snack I could eat.

2) Cookies are in my mind.

3) Cookies would be more tasty if they existed in my mouth as well as in my mind than to be in my mind alone

conclusion) Cookies are in my mouth.

But they aren't (yet, all this talk makes me kind of want to grab a few).

And watch me cure world hunger.

1) Cookies are the tastiest possible snack.

2) Cookies are in my mind.

3) Cookies would be tastier if they existed in every human's mouth and in my mind than in my mind alone

Conclusion) there is a cookie in every human's mouth.

Through sheer logic I can prove that world hunger isn't real. I hope you all enjoy your cookies.

Wow! I used to believe in God and followed Him for decades. I've been on mission trips to three different countries. Now I see that there really isn't a God.

    NOT!

At least I can go get a cookie. May I have milk with my cookie?

Your cookie isn't all powerful. God is.

  • I don't think anyone has ever really taken the ontological argument seriously. It's just a way for theists to feel like theism makes sense.

If you think that thinking about cookies will cure world hunger......you're demented.

There is no logic when a person operates out of a demented and retrograde mind.

Thank you, it was delicious. I will take your horrible argument seriously simply because I like cookies

Bad argument is bad. The human mind is not infinite - therefore, the human concept of "perfection" is naturally flawed.

No. Theist are unable to produce evidence of a god, and are now reduce to mental proofs.
