Jesus never claimed that he's GOD, then why do Christian believe Jesus as a GOD?

Hello everyone, I'm a Muslim.

Like all prophets in Islam, Jesus is considered to have been a Muslim (i.e., one who submits to the will of God), as he preached that his followers should adopt the "straight path" as commanded by God.

Islam rejects the Christian view that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God, that he was ever crucified or resurrected, or that he ever atoned for the sins of mankind. The Qur'an says that Jesus himself never claimed any of these things, and it furthermore indicates that Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the Last Judgment, and God will vindicate him.

The Qur'an emphasizes that Jesus was a mortal human being who, like all other prophets, had been divinely chosen to spread God's message.

We, the Muslims believe that Jesus will return to earth near the day of judgment to restore justice and to defeat Masih ad-Dajjal ("the false messiah", also known as the Antichrist).

    Wrong!

    John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;

a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

So how did you say that Jesus died? And now He is going to return to the earth resurrected? And to deny that Jesus is the Son of God is simply to reject scripture. Because scripture indicates that Jesus is the Son of God. And as a Son, Jesus simply has the same nature as His Father. So just because you do not believe in all this does not make it any less true.

The bible is clear on who Jesus Christ is.When it says Jesus was/ is the Son of God, it means just that. The bible stands alone, by that l mean it does not need another view of who Jesus Christ was or is.

With all due respect- the Quran does not speak for the bible. One does not have to go to the Quran to check on whether the bible is correct or not. It came into being hundreds of years after the Death of the Apostles and God did not, does not need an " updated" version of his word.

To the best of my knowledge- Jesus did not set foot in Arabia, some followers of the Christ could very well have, having said that the Quran was written for the Arabian people, it speaks to them and NOT Christianity, so why then does it try to " undo" events that went before, like saying Jesus did not Die?

The Quran meddles with the word of God.

That is the ONLY name they have been taught.

As for the pitiful idea that because Jesus said, " My Father and I are one." somehow means they are the same individual, somehow that line of reasoning (LOL) does not extend to, "5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh’? 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart.” by Jesus at Matthew 19:5-6? So why do we not see millions of 4 legged and 2 headed people walking around?

But that would not fit in with what they have been told to believe over many centuries by those false religious clergies that have been such paragons of virtue. Killing millions in every war they could find. Bringing in every form of paganism if it could possibly make them an extra buck.

    Luke 3:21-3:22

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

We believe Jesus is God because He says He is in the Bible. We don't read the quran like you do because we're not muslim, we read the word of God, the Bible.

    John 10:30 (ESV)

30 I and the Father are one.”

I think that says it pretty plain and clear, but if you don't study the Bible you wouldn't know that.

    God bless

Jesus did say that He is God.

"The Father and I are one." Once again the people picked up stones to kill him. Jesus said, "At my Father's direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?" They replied, "We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God."

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." The Pharisees replied, "You are making those claims about yourself! Such testimony is not valid." Jesus told them, "These claims are valid even though I make them about myself. For I know where I came from and where I am going, but you don't know this about me."

Jesus was not, and is not a Muslim, He's God and the Savior of the world, and in all things he pointed to God, not Allah, and while He was on earth he practiced Judaism, as shown by his celebration of the Passover and spending time in the Temple.

You are incorrect when you say that all Christians believe that Jesus is God, I'm a Jehovah's Witness and I know that Jesus is "not" God but the only begotten Son of the true God Jehovah.

You are also incorrect when you say Jesus was Muslim because he wasn't, Jesus' name means Jehovah's salvation.

The name Christian was first said in Antioch(Acts 11:26) and, after he found him, he brought him to Antioch. It thus came about that for a whole year they gathered together with them in the congregation and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

The clergy of today know as Christendom has adulterated the Christian faith with paganism, the traditions of man and false stories that Jesus' teachings are so diluted that the original Christian

wouldn't recognize what is called today Christianity as having anything to do with Jesus Christ

    teachings.

John 10:30 uses [εἷς heis] which means of the same mind and not [echad] which means just one(1).

Trinity=Jesus is God, Jesus said his Father is greater then him! (American Standard- Heb 1:8 but of the Son [he saith,] Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellow

Heaven and Hell doctrine: The clergy teaches that the good go to heaven and the bad to hell, that's not what the Bible teaches, at John 11:23-25 ) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” 24 Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; Notice what the followers of Christ believed in, they believed in a resurrection on the last day(Acts 24:15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. The true Christian believes in the resurrection not in a burning hell. (2 Timothy 4:3-4) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories.

You have based your reasoning on a false teaching of those who call themselves Christian that believe in paganism and false stories.

Muslim's are no different for they base their beliefs not on Christ but the philosophy of man and not on the teachings of Christ that came to this earth as a ransom sacrifice for all mankind.

The true God's name is Jehovah, Satan blinds the minds of the unbelievers( 2Corinthians 4:4), it is only by means of Christ that sinful man will live forever right here on earth.

If you would like to know what the Bible really teaches go to www.watchtower.org under publications and download free of charge "What Does the Bible Really Teach?", thousand have and found just how much paganism and false stories are now in what is the so-called Christian churches.
