What are signs of a refrigerator breaking down?
The food is thawing, and the ice in the freezer is melting leaving puddles inside the fridge and puddles on the floor. Is that a sign that the fridge is breaking down. I did adjust the temperature thing to coldest to get the food or try to get the food frozen again in the freezer. I need opinions first before I call the repairman 10 points issued for the best answer.

Is the excess water ever cleaned on the very bottom of refrigerator ? The tray under the door.
Does anyone ever clean the dust and dirt near that area and also the back.
Is there enough ventilation on the sides of unit ?

If its pretty old then think about getting a new one vs repair. But yea it going out!

just make sure the doors are closing properly but yes its probably going out
