What is the Federal Government's Job?
I already know the legal answer to this, just wondering how the demographics will add up to reveal the distribution of posters here.
What do you believe is the role of the federal Government?
Do they do enough? not enough? too much?
please elaborate on your answers to give me a better idea about what you're thinking.

The job of the Federal government is to insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, and that is it, all, end of story.
The "general welfare" is the infrastructure, i.e., roads, bridges, military, and NOT monetary payments to people who will not work.
The Fed has gone far far beyond the authority given it by the people. It is time to put them back into their proper place.
The politicians have come to believe that they are our masters rather than our servants.
They are out of control.
It's time to vote ALL of them out of office.
We need to have a 'REMOVE INCUMBENT' option on the ballot.

National Security, Interstate commerce, and the Post Office. That was their original job description.

Guard the streets, guard the shores, and run the courts. Nothing more (if you strictly follow what the US Constitution says).

their job is to run this country as a business. they are not to interfere with the individual states. but to maintain the the business as a whole

To stay out of our lives and not tell us what to do! It should be small and no taxes.
