What 2 cornerbacks would you have in your tandem?
If you were able to create any cornerback tandem FROM TODAY'S PLAYERS, who would be in it? Personally I would have the Cromarties as my cornerback tandem. Both Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Antonio Cromartie are athletic freaks and probably the most athletic corners in the league. Antonio would cover the big receivers like Brandon Marshall, Sidney Rice, and Calvin Johnson. Dominique could cover the fast receivers like DeSean Jackson, Mike Wallace, Percy Harvin, and Johnny Knox. Both of the Cromarties are tall, fast, can jump high, make spectacular catches, and can return the ball. Who would you have?
Try to be more creative than just combining 2 of the top 5 corners (Darrell Revis, Nnamdi Asomugha, Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey, and Asante Samuel).

Darrelle Revis and Tramon Williams... Revis is obvious choice, no explanation needed. Tramon Williams is so underrated and can cover anyone.

The Cromarties would be terrible. Both are athletic freaks, but neither have very good technique.
Having Antonio Cromartie cover big receivers would be a mistake. He's literally only good against the speedy deep threats. He's soft as kleenex and a guy like Brandon Marshall would eat him up, like Marshall did to the tune of 100+ yards when Revis was hurt.
I'd like Darrelle Revis and Tramon Williams. Revis locks down #1 wideouts while Williams plays ball hawk and gets all the passes that QBs don't throw at Revis.

Ok I guess I can't be more creative than 2 of the top 5. At least after FA this season.
Before FA I would have said Raiders Nnamdi and Routt. Since that will not happen this year I have to go with Asomugha and Woodson. Both ex Raiders. Al davis may be old, but the 2 things in football you can always count on him knowing is CB's and Kickers.

Revis and Asomugha. Both guys are perfect for a cover 2 defense, meaning they can completely shut off their side of the field. Here's a stat for you: Revis and Asomugha combined for ZERO interceptions in the 2010 season. No QB wants to throw near either one of those guys.

I am going to say, if I could pick two and have them both for years to come, I would pick Rodgers-Cromartie and Devin McCourty.
Rodgers-Cromartie for the reasons you listed, also I have always just liked him in general for some reason lol.
McCourty's rookie year was outstanding, assuming he only gets better he could easily be one of the top 5 corners in a few years.

Darrell and Nhamdi. These two could be even better than Woodson and Bailey at their prime. Asante Samuel and Tramon Williams are both stellar CBs too.
