When Bush was in office he was blamed by the liberals for how things were. Now that Obama is in office it's his blame, although liberals will still try and blame someone else. Obama had 2 years of a democrat controlled house and senate, so this is his mess if he's man enough to take responsibility.

This all lies at the feet of the Tea Party and the Republican intransigence regarding increasing revenues. There was $4 trillion in cuts with $1 trillion in revenue on the table, that the Tea Baggers and Republicans wouldn't have it because the all signed Grover Norquist's "no tax" pledge. Norquist and his ilk are something akin to traitors to this country because they refuse to allow the government to work. The Republicans and the Tea Baggers say the government doesn't work, then the when elected, the prove it.

Let's see, it occurred a few days after the GOP forced through a deficit plan that 75% of Americans opposed. Probably not a coincidence.

obama. his idea of compromise is telling the other party to get on board, when real compromise is using both parties ideas. he should have started working on the real compromise bill sooner instead of giving speeches how republicans won't give him a blank check.
