Christians, how do you know when God is speaking in your life? Is it directly through other people or reading?

It's through everything. I talk to God and if I remember to stay in contact, He answers me. If I don't remember to keep God in my life, I have to pray for the connection again. When I read, certain phrases speak to me. I am always learning so sometimes I don't understand one concept at all, but later, it comes back to me. When I listen to and perform Music, I feel directly connected emotionally and when I am at Church, the house of God, I feel Love and Fellowship and the Pastor seems to be talking directly to me sometimes or all of us because God is there.

Other than schizophrenics, no one has actually heard God's voice. When they say "God spoke to me" they're saying that they realized something, and that they understood something that they didn't understand before.

Emotion really keeps people from being rational, and that's a serious problem.

I don't get why they think that it means anything to people when they say that, because they're not the only ones who claim that their god is speaking to them. No one who's actually known to be sane has ever heard God speak, but they do feel as though they are being slowly enlightened, and they mistake it all for God.

It's a personal relationship. When you have a personal relationship with God, you will know when he speaks to you.God hears your prayers. Seek him with an open heart.Learn to know and Love Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Repent of your sins in Jesus's name. God doesn't expect perfection but he wants us to keep trying to be the best people we can.

It's an inner voice. or sometimes an inner knowing. Well, if it's only when I pray and at no other time, and it works, yes, I can enjoy thinking that it is God.

I believe He speaks through His Word and gives us the PRINCIPLES for living; then He guides us through circumstances through the PROVIDENCE for our living; finally, He helps us to make right directions through the POWER of His Spirit inside of us. Sometimes, He may also speak through PROPHECY but prophecies must be tested.

When I am surrounded with fresh summer breezes, when the soft green leaves of trees rustle and the sky is azure, God speaks to me. :)

Do you care? It is by the leading of the Holy Spirit. He speaks to us in many ways, and not through other people unless we know he is speaking through them.

It's not god. There is no god, so it would be awfully hard for him to speak.
