Is what I am doing safe?

I am trying to loose some weight. I am female, 5'6", and I weigh 190. I am trying to loose 20 more pounds. I am doing this for myself and for my Fiance. This is what I have been doing for the past week...Run a mile every morning, then 25-30 min on the elyptical, then about an hour of yoga and/or Zumba ...all in one day. I have been eating about 1000 calories a day. I would eat more if I were hungry, im simply not hungry... I have also been smoking (hookah) to curve some midnight snacking moods. haha. Am I doing this correctly? My good friend told me that I need to be eating more. but idk, i feel that would just set me back in trying to loose weight.

I am doing this mainly for myself...however my fiance has been in bootcamp for about three months now and he has told me that he has lost about 20 pounds (..he was perfect for me...) and so that is just making me want to loose the excess weight I have so I can be healthier and try to keep him attracted..or more attracted to me.

I am not worried about him going after other women, I know he loves me and no one would change that. no matter how sexy. he is very loyal as am I. : ) please help by letting me know what you think about the plan I set.

thank you

As long as you feel ok with no signs of weakness it should be ok. If you go to the livestrong website it shows you how many calories a woman should eat. The heavier you are the more calories your body needs to maintain that weight (according to the website). A 170 lb woman should consum roughly 2250 cal a day. Now that's not anywhere close to what you are eating. As long as you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. I would suggest adding 300-500 more calories to your diet simply to lower the risk of your body burning lean muscle (if it goes into starvation mode) even if you are not hungry your body can recognize when it is not getting enough energy and will burn your muscle as opposed to your fat. Adding those calories would slightly slow down the weight loss but better safe than sorry. Best of luck

sounds good, eat more salad and drink plenty of water, esp when you're working out. also I would gradually introduce more food, since what you need is a diet that you can maintain in the long run, so you dont just gain all that weight back after you stop working out.

190 isnt even that much. i think you're fine like that. but i think reducing what you eat will tempt you into eating more. when i over exercise i actually get more hungry but idk if thats like that with you too. but just do whatever your are comfortable with. hope this helps
