why is rest important?

Okay so i've been dieting pretty good and i've gone to the gym since wed-saturday... but last night i had a little bag of cookies with tootsie rolls and i feel super quilty... i know it's not ALOT! i still ate good throughout the day but i still feel it. Hahah i'm not fat either just trying to loose a little bit since i've gained some.. but i feel so quilty i want to go to the gym and kick some *** to work it off but i'm super sore and tired from yesterdays workout... and somone said i should rest? but eeh=[ idk what to do!?

    Rest allows the body to restore energy that has been expended from the day to day work. Without rest, the muscles and all the other parts of the body will eventually wear out. That is why rest is needed.
