What was the point of Johnny Curtis's buildup?
The wwe spent so much time building Johnny Curtis up, just to have him get destroyed in his first match.
What was the point to building him up, just to destroy him?
They could have done without all the promos if they were just going to make his lose right away.
Do you think the wwe messed up with how they handled Johnny Curtis so far?

Agree. I thought they could have booked and built him better after weeks and weeks of promo cutting leading to his debut match, I mean instead of squashing him at least make him look like a credible threat but they didn't even do that. Hopefully they book him better in the weeks ahead or else pushing his promos would have been meaningless.

People in the WWE think that Johnny Curtis is the next Davey Richards? No,
way that's laughable, I fathom to imagine that. Johnny Curtis being squashed
by "The Worlds Strongest Man" Mark Henry isn't anything to be ashamed of,
right now Mark Henry's in his "super push" on Smackdown he's taken out the
Big Show, Kane, Wladimir Kozlov and he defeated Sheamus at SummerSlam
I wouldn't be surprised if, Mark Henry is the person who beats Randy Orton in
the WWE on Smackdown and is crowned new World Heavyweight Champion.

What's the point of half the **** WWE does when it comes to something that doesn't have their undivided attention....like this whole season of NXT?
My guess is they didn't want to put any effort into it, so they told Curtis to figure out his promos for himself, and then when they brought him on TV for a match, they decided they wanted to just make Mark Henry look powerful so they figured they could job him out and it wouldn't matter. Now he'll just be wrestling on Superstars or something, unless they decide to take 10 minutes to think of something for him to do.

Johnny Curtis may of had the worst build up ever with the dumbest promos ever.

Did they mess up? No.
Curtis, through those vignettes, came off as an arrogant braggart with nothing to back it up (NXT isn't on TV anymore and most of us haven't seen him except for in those vignettes). Mark Henry called his bluff and kicked his butt.
Now, it's up to Curtis to prove himself. DOES he have something to back up his mouth? Or did Mark Henry prove he's just a loud-mouthed punk?
Curtis could come right back and get in Henry's face, challenge him again and get destroyed. Or get a fluke win. Or he could use that ************ as motivation TO prove himself, with a rematch against Henry the long-term goal.
The young pup getting slapped around by the veteran is a pretty standard wrestling staple. That doesn't automatically mean Curtis will be nothing but a punching bag. It was just a way to get Curtis on TV, introduce him to the "big boys", and give him a reason to take things VERY seriously.

Lately WWE has been doing this. If you remember Kazarny had three or four weeks of build up and he had one match. They did the same with the guy that Vickie Guerrero was "dating" backstage for several weeks before the Dolph Ziggler Storyline and he didn't last very long before he was off the show.

I don't know honestly. After winning the NXT competition and NOT getting his tag team title shot with R-Truth, they had me puzzled with him. And then this "pun" gimmick came along on Smackdown, and they are burying him. Look's like another Scotty Goldman in the making, unless this means bigger things in the future for him.

Well i think he needed his *** kicked before he can have any future in wrestling and im REALLY looking forward to watching Andy Leavine because he reminds me of a young Triple H and the trainers are really working with him.Expect big things from him.
