For those of you who've had sunburn before....?
So I don't know why the sun hates me so much this summer, even though I wear tons of SPF 50 sunscreen 20 minutes before sun exposure, along with wearing a hat, but I managed to get sunburned...again.
It was so bad, I got blisters and started peeling. Well, it's been more than a week, and I just couldn't take it anymore, I started peeling off some of the skin. Most of the skin is okay, but a spot on my forehead is horrible. There was a scab looking-thing there where the blisters were, and I peeled it off, revealing very raw skin. I just wanted my skin back to normal!
Now I'm terrified because it looks SUPER SUPER raw, but it's not bleeding or anything, although it does feel tight, and I've noticed many new wrinkles on my forehead. I'm applying aloe very generously. It burns a bit when I put it on the spot, but only for a couple of minutes.
I'm terrified because school starts in less than 3 weeks, will this go away? Oh, and I'm 15.
Thank you very much in advanced for your advice and time. :)
My face has so many uneven skin layers. One area would be fine, another would be a part I peeled and a bit dry and red, and another raw skin. It's horrible!

yes it will go away . . . but you are one of those people who don't tan . . regardless of what you do, you burn easily and will not tan, as it just peels right off . . embrace that reality and protect your skin . . otherwise you will have lots of precancerous and cancerous things popping up on your skin as you get older

"I'm terrified because school starts in less than 3 weeks, will this go away?"...Most or all of it will SEEM to go away by then. But it doesn't really go away at all. You skin is PERMANENTLY damaged EVERY TIME you sunburn. And you can look forward to SKIN CANCER treatments in a few decades.
Stay in the sun less. And one application of SPF is not enough. Reapply every 30 minutes or every time you come out of the water.

Keep applying aloe 2-3 times a day. it takes time but it will go away. You may also want to see a dermatologist.

I'm not sure what to tell you but I'm pretty sure it will go away by then. If it doesn't you should see a doctor. Other than putting aloe on it I would say you probably shouldn't touch it. Then again I'm no expert I'm just giving my opinion.
