i want to buy a nintendo 3ds but i don't want to have to buy all new games can i use my nintendo ds lite games on a nintendo 3ds?

Yup, you sure can. No need to buy them again, but they won't be 3D.

This is an excellent console I love the new analogue stick, it makes gameplay much easier i intend on buying one soon.The Nintendo 3DS is the latest handheld gaming console from Nintendo with a real 3D gaming experiance without the need for any 3D glasses! While viewing the units screen head on, provides a great 3D gaming experiance however if you turn you head slightly to the side while looking at the screen causes a ghosting effect.

Yeah! I was so happy when I heard that because I didn't no what to do with my old games cuz i was trading in my ds lite for a sale at GameStop. I got my 3DS for 99$. BUT ANYWAY, yah. And the graphics weren't too bad either, maybe just a little blurrier.

you can play ds games on the 3ds. there are a few games (maybe 1 or 2 that can't be played because of the use of the gba port.

Yes you can but it won't be in 3D,some DS games won't even work! But sadly you can't play GBA games.
