I'm not sure if I understood this question as it was long and confusing, but you're asking how to remove glue from something so you can donate it?
Anyway, I worked in a newsagency and they would use lemon essence to remove the sticky backs that price stickers would leave on the books they wanted to return to the wholesaler.
I guess any cooking essence would work, but personally think the lemon ones the best way to go. You don't want your shoes smelling like vanilla, or caramel or whatever. Also lemon essence had a high content of alcohol, so I guess any kind of alcoholic based cleaner would work too.
You just put some on a cloth a rub softly.
God bless.

you can try acetone ( in many nailpolish removers ) to get it off, although I'm not sure if it would stain the fabric.. Also paint thinner works on superglue but again, not sure if it would ruin the fabric or not.. But I dont know how much worse it can be than a blob of superglue holding things together lol just use a q-tip and very small amounts, let it soak a little and getnry scrape it witl like a knife or tweezers etc. it wont leave a smell and it wont tear the fabric if you take your time to do it, I dont know if it would discolor it.. Depends on the fabric. But just try small amounts at a time.

To answer your excessively lengthy question, acetone (nail polish remover) removes cyanoacrylate glue.
