Shrinking a cotton shirt without a dryer?
I bought a polo from hollister and it was perfect until I wore it and decided it was a little too big lol. I know people say washing them in really hot water then drying them in the dryer on the highest option possible, but I don't have a dryer at the moment and wont have one for a few months.
I can wash it in hot water BUT will it still shrink if it just normally dries? Or will ironing it after its washed help?
The tag on the shirt does indeed say 100% Cotton...

The only way to shrink clothes is by altering them. If you do not know how to sew, many dry cleaners alter clothes.
This woman washed 100% cotton shirts in hot water and dried them in the dryer THREE times and the shirts did not shrink:

If the shirt matters to you, have it altered. I doubt it would be that expensive. If the shirt isn't important enough to you to have altered, give it to the Salvation Army.
Hope this helps.

You can only shrink 100% natural fibers like cotton, silk or wool. It's the hot water that shrinks the fibers more than the dryer and almost no clothing is made with 100% cotton thread. That means if it DID shrink the seams would all pucker up if the fabric shrinks and the seams don't. You CANNOT shrink clothing down to another size. Look at the tag inside the shirt to find out the fabric content.
