Do you guys think there will be another great American Heavyweight boxing champ eventually?

the lack of great heavyweights from the United States is the reason why the popularity of boxing is declining and we really need another great heavyweight such as Ali,Tyson,Foreman or Frazier. we may still have Holyfield but he's far past his prime and he need's to retire.

    Well Jose

    You may think Evander is done.....BUT BY CHRISTMAS OF NEXT YEAR.....You'll be calling him the # 1 heavyweight of all time!

    AT 50! The great Warrior will FINALLY FULLFILL a 20 year mission to become UNDISPUTED { which began on the night of November 13th 1992, when he lost his undisputed title to Bowe }

    HE WILL NOT ONLY REALIZE HIS DREAM......BUT THE GREAT MAN WILL REVIVE BOXING

    Making headlines around the world as becoming UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD......AT 50!

    THEN......He will retire FOREVER IN GLORY

    Just watch Jose. It will happen I promise you.

    There needs to be more of a quantity of great American heavyweights. Like the other guy said, Ali was so popular partly because of the competition he was facing. Now that is not to say that if another guy like Ali or Tyson came along, one would not watch the match regardless just to see that boxer. But, you are right, heavyweights have declined and to answer your question, yes, I do think that someday there will be another great American heavyweight. They just need to realize what the epitome of a great heavyweight is. The epitome of a great heavyweight is Tyson. Quick and powerful and brought a lot of entertainment value to the table.

    Well, yes and no. Of course there will eventually be greats again. The more important question, though, is will there be enough greats at one time to make that obvious. For example, what made Ali so great was, in large part, the competition he was facing. There were so many prodigious fighters in the heavy weight division at that time that they all brought out the strongest and best in each other.

    Yes we will eventually put out another great heavyweight but I hope one comes along in time to catch the Klitchkos before they get too old.The great ones are judged by the quality of their competition,so whoever emerges will need to get through those guys before they are held in high regard
