I found a cat with a collar and no tags what do I do? ?
The thing is, I live in a fraternity house, and we:
A) Have a no pets policy that is strongly enforced
B) My girlfriend who often stays with me at the house, is deathly allergic.
So what I did, is it is still outside, the brothers and I gave it some milk, some water and stuff, took some pictures. I think we might put up some posters and take it to a shelter to see if it is microchiped.
Is that a good idea or no?

Put up flier saying you found a cat.
Also contact local animal shelters, tell them you found a cat and ask if anyone has called them looking for it.
