A libertarian candidate, but with such a minute group of people who understand domestic politics that'll be the day.

I wouldn't mind going back to George Washington and the first Congress. They were trying to create and manage a new kind of government without much of anything for guidance and direction. They labored under what was, for that time, a massive debt and a zero credit rating. They held the union together when there were multiple forces trying to pull it apart. They kept the new, broke and relatively weak new country safe even though the most powerful forces of Europe - England, France and Spain - were waiting at our borders ready to apportion (divide up) the new country between them. When it came to generating revenue, Washington and first Congress did what they had to: they put taxes on everything coming into the country and on everything going out and when some groups of citizens rose up in protest (the Whisky Rebellion), Washington not only sent the militias after them but rode part of the way with the militias himself.

Washington and the First Congress had fought the Revolution, knew what the Constitution meant and more than anything put the needs of the country, of the union, above any of the needs of the states or of the citizens. Washington and the members of the First Congress weren't the petty little whiners that we elect to office today.

I'm going to vote for the candidate who will bring all the U.S. troops home, not just from the Middle East but from everywhere else in the world too, immediately.

I want the next President to tax the **** out of the rich. We're talking 90% tax on anyone making over $200k per year on income, capital gains, any and all offshore accounts, estate, inheritance and anything else possible.

I'm voting for the one who will remember that the U.S. was built on, and can and will only function with strong, big, healthy, educated working and middle classes.

In other words, I'm not voting and don't give a **** who the next president is.

The changes we need to make won't be made anywhere near the White House.

Steve Jobs. We need a person who knows how to make money. Considering he built an empire around an inferior product, that makes him our man.

  • Ron Paul

He's the only candidate who is sincere and has practical solutions for this country. Most importantly- he wants to follow our rule of law... The constitution!

Since I don't have to worry about Ron Paul ever winning anything, I would vote for just about any one of the Republican candidates over Obama.

Ron Paul and Obama both possess diseased minds that cling to outdated ideologies.

Ron Paul. He will actually listen to the Constitution, which would help get us out of the mess we are in.
