Is it possible that my general anesthesia from almost 5 full days ago is still causing my upset stomach?

I'm not positive which med was used, but I believe it was brevital sodium. I was nauseous for the first couple days, which I was warned of, but my stomach has been a little upset in another manner since I started eating again for the past few days.

I'll be put under in a similar manner a few times a week for a few weeks for ECT, so I'd like to know what to expect before I see them in the morning.

general anesthesia is completely out of your system between 24-48 hours after surgery so its not the anesthesia causing your upset stomach.

if you are taking post op medications such as pain medication or an antibiotic that is most likely why your stomach is upset.

or it could just be that your digestive system is a bit off due to what ever surgery you had done.
