"Jesus has God DNA (literally), " = LMAO!!!!!! (Now #2 on my list of fundie quotes. Priceless! That will give many a good laugh.) If you are just a troll trying to make Christians look stupid please let me know. I don't want any fundie quotes on my list to not be actually the words of a fundie.

Jesus, may have existed, fundie, even though you have no proof that he did. But he was certainly no god born of a virgin.

In addition to a lack of historical support, many characteristics of Jesus, which Christians today believe in, are undeniably similar or identical to religious trends and beliefs that preceded Christianity. There are tens of accounts of pagan gods of many different cultures who were said to have the same attributes as those that Christians claim Jesus had.

Trinity―Trinities were popular in pagan sects before Christianity was introduced to the world. Some of the more well known trinity gods included Mithra-Vohu Mana-Rashnu, Amen-Mut-Khonsu, and Osiris-Isis-Horus.

Virgin Birth―Among the pagan cultures that preceded Christianity, virgin birth stories abounded. The long list of pagan gods born of virgins includes: Romulus and Remus, Zoroaster, Buddha, Mithras, Chrishna, Osiris-Aion, Agdistis, Attis, Tammuz, Adonis, Korybas, Perseus, and Dionysus.

Nobody really challenges the fact that some guy named jesus was walking the earth a couple thousand years ago, the challenge is that this particular guy was the son of some god. Why do you think he was hunted down and crucified? ...really, why? Think about the political situation at the time and the religious folks in cahoots with the Romans. Now throw some guy named jesus walking the streets claiming to be able to do all these things that make him the saviour of all the down trodden folks. He gathers people around and much like a cult starts group meetings raising noise and basically stirring up the common folk. Someone gets wind of this and notices it to be true, reports to the officials and wha-la...catch 'em and kill 'em. No more problem. Little did they know that by killing a cult leader they created a religion that would last for years.

Ironically, there is a historical notation in Roman archives of the prisoner Barabas the Barbarian being held in the prison but no mention of Yeshua, Jesus, or other "wandering prophet" in the prison during that time. Since it was such a "public" hearing for Jesus' sentencing for his death, it would have been note worthy by the prison census takers, especially of the ritual of washing of the hands of the matter by a well known Roman historical figure. But yet, no mention of such a peson.

The Jews were meticulous census keepers and birth record keepers. Many Jews can trace their lineage to the times just after Moses, there are still records since a Jewish persons proof of full blood is carried by the mother. Yet, there are no records of Joseph of Nazareth or Mary. How can they have proof of a person based on a word of mouth tale during a very turmultuous time of politics and war? There were so many traitors, non conformists, those that hated the Romans, travelers from Southern Asia and India, the expansion to Western and Northern Europe, the conglomeration of so many new and unheard of religions and beliefs. New scientific discoveries and physicians and medicines being used. And yet, no mention in any historical files or records that he truly existed. He may have, but not as the Christian bible states. I feel that the bible of the Church in the 400's was actually something to help priests and land owners to help teach and convert rather than prove or validate it's stories.

(Jesus has been proven to be a real person in history)

There have been many people named Jesus in history,

There are many people alive today that are named Jesus,

I do not deny any of this, as it is fact,

I just deny that anyone named Jesus can have been the son of a creator

If there was a god creator, who created the god creator?

Actually no, his existence hasn't been proven at all. The best evidence for such a person is the idea that there was probably a real individual who gathered a following, but there is no contemporary evidence for him at all. All historical references date from decades later and mention the existence of Christians and their beliefs about Jesus, not the actual existence of Jesus.

Because the evidence is less than compelling, and the lies and outright fraud regarding the evidence makes it worthless.

There were probably several guys named Jesus wandering around that era, it was a pretty common name. Some of them may well have been carpenters, several were probably religious teachers. Since messiahs were a drachma a dozen back then, it's likely some of them became that kind of religious leader. Was one of them the real deal, born of the holy spirit and destined to return from Heaven and cleanse the Earth of sin? A lot of people said it, but a lot of people said rainbows lead to Valhalla too.

  • 1) Jesus is not proven to have been a real person in history.

    2) Even if it were established that Jesus were a real person, it does not show that he was capable of miracles.

    3) Even if Jesus did some things which are inexplicable, that in no way gives credence to the existence of God.

Why do you deny the stupidity of your argument?

Jesus was just another human being. I do however deny the existence of Adam and Eve

Is that so? Then it should be no problem showing this proof to everyone.

I think it's possible a person on whom the stories of Jesus are based existed but come on, to say he's *proven* to be a real person in history? That's just asking for us to demand you to show this proof.

But of course you won't show any such proof, and this is of course purely coincidence not at all because you cannot.

Actually, it hasn't been proven. Scholars claim that it is likely a man named Yeshua lived during that time, was a Rabbi (of sorts - since most think he was a Nazarene - a priest of a sect of the Essenes) and probably traveled and taught..... much like many other rabbi's did during that time. But there is no evidence outside of the bible that proves Jesus existed. And there is certainly no evidence that everything written about him in the bible actually happened.
