Plumming. How do you get a rock out of a outside pipe line?

I have tried the sucking it out with the wet/dry vac and then a wire hanger. Neither one worked. I want to do it without digging up the dirt and without cutting into the pipe line. I am trying to do the job myself to save some money. Any help would be great.

Update:

i think my 4 year took the cap off and dropped it down there, but not sure. we live on the corner and sometimes people walk along there and someone might mess with it. sometimes people do dumb things

is this rock causing any problems such as water backing up ? If not leave it where it is. Otherwise you need to rod the pipe until the rock gets to a manhole where you can safely remove it

How did you get the rock into the 'outside pipe line'.??

Some sort of soft cushion around the rim of that wet-vac hose might help

to hold suction agaist the rock if you can see it to reach it.

Had the same problem. Put some duct tape on the end of a hanger and was able to stick it to each rock in there. Good luck!
