I tried it - but the key just rocked around on the top of the rubber button under the key, and I finally popped it back off to make it easier to type.
You can always get a keyboard to plug in (assuming you are talking about a laptop).

Don't do it! Once it's broken, if it doesn't snap back on, it's a goner. You can buy a replacement keyboard on ebay, as long as you get one for your exact model of laptop, it's usually not hard to replace with some small screwdrivers, and you can find step by step instructions on the internet.

It might work, but I do not recommend it. You might mess up the circuitry.
