I read both are good beginner bikes but some people say the 650 is a little to much for beginners. Which one?

the 650, you wouldnt need to upgrade. but it depends n what you feel comfortabe with and which fits you better. 650 too big for me. i'm 4'11.5".

The 250 is less powerful and because of it there's less of a chance of pushing the bike beyond your abilities. But the 650 can be just fine in the hands of the RIGHT beginner (sufficient maturity, responsible, common sense, at least experience with a manual transmission car). If you're concerned that the 650 may be too much, it may show in the way you ride it. You don't want to be intimidated by the bike. The 650 is somewhat funner because it's more powerful but there's no way any beginner can go wrong with the 250. If you haven't ridden on the street before then its power will make you plenty happy.

250 no doubt. A lot less expensive for everything, and you can always sell it to a beginner for a decent price. Just look at it this way, would you rather be able to easily learn and push a 250 to its limits or be terrified to do anything on a 650 and be a horrible rider?

It has all to do with the weight of the bike. The 650 is a big darling and if you can afford it, it is certainly the one to go for. If you cannot handle the weight, the smaller one will do just fine.

If you have any experience with street bikes I would recommend the 650r. if your a beginner or seem immature, I recommend a 250.

Go for the 650. 250 youll gt tired of fast. just take it easy at first so you dont over power your abilities.

650R. If you get the 250 you will want to upgrade before you know it and lose money in the process.
