Extreme calf pains after running?
I run on the treadmill 6 days a week for about half an hour each (approx. 3.5 miles total) at a relatively low incline each time. But every day after I run I get SEVERE calf pain--it gets to the point where it feels like my legs are going to literally explode. It's sort of like a really bad ache, but one that hurts to even touch and it's hard to do things afterwards (it almost brings me to tears to go into childs pose, when I have to stretch my calves). Stretching doesn't really help. But I was hoping someone might have advice for me...?

Hi.Do these calf stretches before and AFTER you run. Also make sure you have a good solid pear of shoes made for running. Your shoes might be woren out.Might need a new pair.

I was going to say it'd be best to stretch before running but since it hurts to do that, I'm not sure what to tell you. You should see a doctor it may be very serious.

well i know it got better for me after i stretched better both before and after, also you should do a better warm up. jump up and down a few times then walk for a couple minutes before running. If those don't help then you should get a trainer or doctors opinion.

i have gotten this many tuimes, i went to a personal trainer and he told me the problem might be that a treadmill is not the best running device to use, try going to the park or a track , idk , kbye
